Seth Mann, P.A., both of Dade City. Morrill (left) received the check for the Sunrise Center as a donation from the East Pasco Quilters Guild, of which Ritter is secretary. Mann won the quilt in a drawing this last week after buying 10 chances at a wine tasting event in Wesley Chapel to benefit Sunrise.

East Pasco Quilters Guild recently helped two area nonprofit organizations.

The Quilters Guild presented a check for $1,000 to Sunrise of Pasco Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Center.

Also, the Quilters Guild presented Seth Mann with a quilt he had won through purchasing raffle tickets at a wine tasting event held in Wesley Chapel.

Mann was one of the Celebrity Pourers at the event. The quilt that Mann won had been displayed the past 16 months at many events throughout Pasco County, said Rozanne Ritter, the Quilters Guild’s secretary.

Additional funds gathered at the event will go towards purchasing materials for future quilts, such as the quilts that are given to each new owner of a house built by Habitat For Humanity of East & Central Pasco. The East Pasco Quilters Guild also provides teddy bears to appropriate patients at Pasco Regional Medical Center.
